Hi everyone! I’m Mia, I’m 25, and live in LA with my mom and our three cats and two dogs. I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2018. I have a 15 inch internal prosthetic named Rodney (get it?) from my limb salvage in my right leg. I’m returning to UC Santa Barbara in the fall as a psych and brain sciences major! My ultimate career goal is to be a clinical psychologist working with adolescent and young adult cancer patients, but I’ve got a long way to go! Finding such a wonderful group of other osteowarriors has been a true gift and I can’t wait to share our crazy stories with all of you!
Hi all! My name is Sammy Ulloa I am a 22 year old osteowarrior and I live in Southern California. I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in my right upper tibia at the age of 19 in August of 2022. I underwent chemotherapy and a limb salvage surgery so I currently have an internal prosthetic. I completed treatment in May of 2023 and have been NED ever since! I am the president of the MIB Junior Advisory Board and I currently am pursuing a degree in biology at a local institution. In my free time I enjoy reading, traveling, playing with our dogs, and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to continuing to connect with fellow osteofriends and continuing to advocate and raise awareness for osteosarcoma!
