"I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in July of 2018 and I am an OsteoWarrior still fighting this disease. Ever since my diagnosis my mom has been the one to always cheer me up; whether that be after a bad scan, a night in the hospital or just simply a day when I’m feeling down.
I remember the first day of my IE chemotherapy treatment only a few days after my cancer had relapsed for the 3rd time, my mom and I were sitting in our hospital room and couldn’t believe we were back here again. then out of nowhere my mom starts blasting music. She stands up and starts dancing and singing in our room. I couldn't help but laugh and start to dance and sing with her.
I will never forget that moment and I know my mom will continue to cheer me up even when things get tough. Moms Make It Better, and you can too!"

"My mom has been my #1 supporter throughout my treatments. She’s made so many sacrifices for me and my family these past 3 years and I am forever grateful for everything she’s done for me.
I can’t think of just one story to share because there are so many. She would get up at 5am with me to drive me to my 7am surgery. She would sleep over the hospital if I needed her to even if she wanted to go home and sleep in her own bed.
She made sure to create equal time for both me and my sister. She was always there to hold my hand after surgery when I was in pain. She’d drive all over the place to pick up the food I was craving. She makes sure I’m safe everywhere I go. She’s my hero. Happy Mother’s Day to all the superhero moms out there! Moms Make It Better, You Can Too."

FACTOR brings together the leading researchers, clinicians, surgeons, together with patient families and OsteoWarriors to Make It Better for those battling this disease.
Each year a grant of $100,000 is awarded to a project that will focus on moving research forward for osteosarcoma patients.

The OsteoWarriors HQ (headquarters) brings kids and young adults who have a connection to osteosarcoma together and It. Is. Awesome!
