Elijah was voted class clown in 8th grade. He loved school. He loved making his friends laugh, even if it got him into trouble sometimes. Elijah never wanted his osteosarcoma to define him. He barely even said the word cancer. He fought hard. He endured countless surgeries and eventually his arm was amputated. Through every treatment and setback until the end of his life on earth Elijah never gave up. He still made us laugh, loved us, and encouraged us, even in the midst of his greatest pain and suffering.
Elijah, you are the best son, brother, and friend. We can’t wait to see you in heaven. We love you forever!
