Avery was a bright light to everyone that met her. She loved big and was wise beyond her years. She was a good friend, always smiling and sharing kindness. She loved her family and friends, school, basketball, volleyball and loved to travel. Our lives were better with her in it, and we were blessed to have her for 12 years.
In June 2022, Avery was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Her battle was a short and brutal one, consisting of several rounds and types of chemo, surgeries, and radiation, nothing anyone should ever have to go through. We lost Avery on November 14, 2022 after a short five month battle.
During Avery’s fight, were blessed with the support of our family, friends, and even strangers. Our goal, in honor of Avery, is to raise funds to help others fighting this cancer with whatever they may need. Smile Like Avery.
